As a part of the three-year project “LINK 4 Cooperation”, financed by the European Union, Local Democracy Agency Mostar (LDA Mostar) implements a series of trainings through the Council of Europe’s Leadership Academy (LAP) program. The training is intended for representatives of local governments and civil society organizations from Berkovići, Jablanica, Kostajnica, Maglaj, Mostar, Nevesinje, Novi Grad, Prijedor, Ravno, Trebinje, Zavidovići and Žepče.
The first cycle of LAP trainings, led by trainers certified by the Council of Europe, has so far been successfully completed by three groups of participants. In the period from September 19-21, 2022 representatives of LAs and CSOs from Jablanica, Maglaj, Trebinje and Žepče had finished the first training cycle in Mostar. From September 26-28, first cycle of training for representatives of the aforementioned target groups from Zavidovići, Prijedor, Novi Grad and Kostajnica took place in Trebinje, and from September 28-30, training for representatives from Mostar, Berković, Nevesinje and Ravno was also held in Trebinje.
The Leadership Academy Program (LAP) is a training program primarily intended for public authorities at various levels for strategies and capacity building taught in 2 cycles. The purpose of the program is to teach participants better leadership, management and planning skills. The main goal of LAP is to acquire knowledge and tools that will enable participants to better manage responsibility and changes within the institutions they come from. In order to support the process of democratization, through the strengthening of good administration and capacity building of local authorities and civil society, the Local Democracy Agency Mostar, in cooperation with project partners, has included representatives of civil society organizations in the mentioned Program.
